I am a Cognitive Psychology PhD candidate, working under Prof. Alan Kawamoto in the Computational & Experimental Cognition Lab.
My research focuses on visual speech cues such as facial expressions and gestures, and the impact of these visual cues on communication.
I am particularly interested in how visual speech cues are produced during speech, how visual speech cues might improve (or impair) speech perception, and how these visual cues can help listeners understand speech in noisy or distracting settings.
In addition to my primary research, I enjoy studying user experience research methods and practicing my quantitative analyses with personal projects or challenges. Please check out my blog to read about my UX and data science personal projects.
Thank you for reading and nice to meet you!
